DENNIS CRABB, ATTOURNEY OF 20+ YEARS TO RETIRE

FROM TAHOE TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT

(Stateline, Nev.) – Dennis Crabb, Tahoe Transportation District’s attorney of more than 20 years, is retiring. Crabb worked with the TTD (http://www.tahoetransportation.org) to facilitate the district’s community infrastructure projects that increase safety throughout the Tahoe Basin like bike trails, sidewalks, roadways and public transportation.

As the TTD ramps up for new safety improvements and projects in the area, Crabb is down-sizing his work load to explore semi-retirement and world travel.

“I’ve been looking to cut back for the last two years,” said Crabb in a recent interview. “No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get below 30 hours a week. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with the folks at TTD and will miss being a part of the impact they make in this community, but it’s time to relax.”

Crabb has been practicing law in South Lake Tahoe and throughout the Sierra’s since 1979. He received his degree from McGeorge School of Law and has served on many community organization boards throughout the Lake Tahoe area. He was president of the South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, president of the Tallac Association and various non-profit corporations. His clients have included many governmental agencies, municipalities, resort communities, and joint powers authorities, including South Lake Tahoe, Mammoth Lakes, Truckee, Jackson, Sutter Creek and Alpine County.

“Dennis was a tremendous asset in helping TTD be proactive and make a difference in the community,” said Andrew Strain, chairman of the board. “We’re thankful for his work and wish him and his family every happiness.”

Taggart & Taggart, Ltd. will assume Crabb’s responsibilities. The Carson City, Nev. based law firm’s practice includes wetlands preservation, related municipal water issues, environmental regulation, water resource and wastewater planning.
